Where can you begin answering your intuition right now? Intuition is our birthright. As children we freely connect to our intuition so naturally that we don’t even know it’s intuition. It is an everyday awareness permeating our existence that we are intimately connected with and a part of. Life feels magical and our environment is filled with endless possibilities. As we get older we lose touch with this sense of presence and guidance. Limited thinking and the responsibilities of life take centre stage, while our inner wisdom and unbounded connection with life are pushed aside, if not forgotten. It is the gateway to our child within. 
1. Permission 
When you wake up in the morning, start your day by giving yourself permission to be intuitive. Remember, intuition is your natural state; therefore, you do not need to work at it, but rather allow it to express itself through you as You. 
2. Feelings 
Intuition expresses itself through feelings – the language of the child within. By paying attention to how you feel, you become aware of your deeper child and its guidance. If what you are doing or considering feels good, gives you a sense of inner rightness, chances are you are in alignment with your child within. You may also suddenly feel nauseous or anxious which can be an indication that something is not right for you. 
3. Energy 
When you feel your energy expand then you are in alignment with your intuition. You may feel energy expand in all parts of your body or in a particular part of your body like your heart centre. If, on the other hand, you feel your energy contract, then your intuition is most likely telling you to ignore or bypass this situation. In other words, when your energy contracts, it is your intuition saying No! 
4. Unique Expression 
The more you listen to your intuition, the easier it becomes to recognize and act on it. This includes becoming aware of how intuition uniquely expresses itself through you. Does it come through dreams, writing, yoga? Is it a sensation in your body? If so, where? Is it in your head, heart, calves? What kind of sensation is it? Knowing this will help you trust your intuition more quickly in the future. 
5. Trust 
“Listen to your heart. Even though it’s on the left side, it’s always right.” ~ Unknown 
To trust your feelings, insights and energy state is the beginning of trusting yourself. We are taught not to listen to ourselves and to put our attention on what others think. To turn this around, start by believing that you do indeed know what is best for you; you know in your heart what you really want and what no longer feeds your child within. The path of intuitive living is the path of trusting and believing in your recovered child within. 
6. Slowing Down, Silence & Self-Reflection 
Intuition lies in the space between our discursive thoughts and the demands of our hectic lives. Making time for ourselves creates space to bring our attention back within where our intuition lies. Spend time daily in silence and self-reflection. Meditation, journaling, yoga and time in nature all contribute to connecting with the quiet voice within. This means making your Self a priority. If it helps, book You Time off in your calendar so that you become a priority in your life. 
7. Deep Breathing 
Part of slowing down is simply taking a few deep breaths. No matter where you are, you always have time to do this. Just one long, slow deep breath serves to relax and connect us to our body where our intuition speaks to us. Next time you have an important decision to make, stop and take a few deep breaths beforehand and see how this changes things. 
8. Inquiry 
Asking yourself questions opens you to your heart where your intuition lies. Once you have slowed down and taken a few breaths, try asking yourself the following question: What does my heart want? What is my intuition saying? What decision feels good/right? What decision would move me downstream? And then write down the answers that come to you. Blurt them out! 
9. Blurting/Spontaneity 
“Follow your child within yourself. That’s where true wisdom manifests itself.”  
Your logical mind loves to censor all the wonderful intuitive insights you have. Your capacity to be spontaneous is important because it lessens the chance that your logical mind will stop you. If you have an intuitive insight, blurt it out before the logical sentinel blocks your natural expression. 
10. Brevity 
Intuition requires few words to make its point. It conveys a great deal of information in short time. It may simply say to you, Move!, or Turn left. It does not ramble on like our logical mind, offering explanations and reasoning. It simply offers you insight, which you can choose what to do with. 
11. Language 
Use first person language such as I, Me, My, Mine and sensory words like Feel and Sense to convey your intuition. For example: “I feel”, “I sense”, “My intuition is telling me”, “My heart is saying”. If you say “I think”, you may find yourself accessing your logical mind more than your intuition. 
12. Courage 
“You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover is yourself.”  
Honoring your intuition, honoring your true Self, takes great courage. It may not be easy in the short term to act on your intuition, but what price do you pay by not listening to it? Trust that nothing is revealed to you intuitively if it is not in your highest interest, even if that means making some tough choices (or easy choices) in your life. However your intuition guides you, it is always in service of your well-being. 
13. Honesty 
As much as it takes courage to act on your intuition, even before this, it can take courage to be honest with yourself and your situations. Acknowledging your intuition is about being real with yourself and what is true for you. It can be scary to be honest because of fears of loss, hurting others and change. But to deny your child within is the greatest denial of all. Therefore shine the light of truth into your heart and trust that your intuition is there only to serve you, even if it may appear otherwise to you and others. 
14. Let Go, Allow Flow 
Following your intuition requires courage because it calls you to let go of control to some degree, and trust the higher flow of life.  Nothing that you want is upstream. Intuition guides you to let go of paddling upstream and allow life to carry you instead of forcing your way through life with your plans and agendas. Life knows what you want more than you do. When you surrender, you will soon discover the magic that Life has in store! 
15. Uncertainty 
When the mind is full, it is harder to receive the insights of your intuition. Attachments to plans and agendas, combined with the fear of the unknown and the need for familiarity, all present obstacles to opening to the new and unexpected. Your job is to create space for your intuition by clearing away the clutter of your mind and the distractions of your life. When you do, you say an inner Yes to Life! 
16. Irrational Optimism 
Intuition continuously guides you to play at higher and higher levels. And as you do, you will walk away from what you thought your life was towards a life that has yet to fully manifest. In the meantime, you learn to trust the unknown and become comfortable with not having all the details. It is here that irrational optimism is a useful mindset. You can view your life as being an empty shell of what it used to be, or you can see it as being prepared for new, with exciting arrivals that only Life can see. 
“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. You have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift.”  
17. Time Alone 
As you courageously choose to venture down the path of intuition, and leave behind aspects of yourself and life that no longer fit, you will need time to be with yourself to help stay grounded in your transition and transformation. It may be tempting to distract yourself with busy activities, but your time alone will serve to integrate your new learning and provide further guidance to help you along your way. It will also support you to become comfortable without dependencies on other’s approval or guidance, which in many cases, won’t be useful at all. 
18. Pay Attention 
Watch what shows up in your life. Synchronicities, such as overhearing a conversation that provides insight, or the sudden appearance of new opportunities and resources; day dreams, like continuously thinking about a passion you’d love to explore; and night dreams in the form of guidance or messages. All demand a level of attentiveness and recognition that life is working to support you in mysterious ways. Pay attention and be open to receive. 
19. Open to Receive 
Your real job in life is not to say How, but rather Yes! Opening to receive can be challenging. It requires you to detach from your desires and trust that Life will help to orchestrate them. The more impatient or demanding you are, the more you limit the process of attracting what you desire. Take time to step away. Participating in activities that bring you joy, volunteering and serving others, all help you to focus on other things so that you can more easily remain open to the new and unexpected. 
20. 3 A’s: Awareness, Assessment, Action 
This cyclical process of hearing, evaluating and acting upon your intuition is something you will continue the rest of your life. All three steps are important and it is here that intuition works with logic – intuition provides the insight and logic oversees the practical details such as time, money and resources to make your ideas concrete and palatable for others. 
21. Day-End Overview 
When your day is over, take a moment to review all the decisions you made from your intuition and how they turned out. Similarly, ask yourself where you felt your intuition but didn’t act on it, and how that turned out. Doing this nightly self-reflection will help you see patterns in how your life unfolds when you do and do not honor your intuition and therefore your Self. 
22. Play & Joy 
 
Follow your passions and play regularly. Whether it is gardening, writing, camping or dancing, when you are enjoying yourself you move into alignment with your child within. Have you ever noticed that inspiration and fresh perspective come to you when you are relaxed and having fun? Remember, you don’t have to work at intuition. Play and allow it to come to you. Life is about enjoying yourself, and when you remember to play you remember your child and why you are here. You say Yes to yourself, and to Life as well!

We naturally live our lives wanting belonging, connection, a home in this world. We yearn for warmth, for possibility, for the more abundant life that recovery seems to promise. We sense there is a quality of real recovery that is possible beyond the narrow straits we have been told to navigate, a possibility that's not idealised or merely abstract. We have an intuitional voice that says we can connect much more deeply to ourselves and to one another. We ardently believe that we have the capacity to experience real recovery despite the hindrances and warps of our culture and the media. The practices of mindfulness and lovingkindness open the door to this possibility.  The practice of cultivating real recovery for ourselves with loving-kindfulness and self compassion. It serves as an antidote to negative messages from our birth families about our selves. You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them. The stories we tell ourselves about our experiences and encounters with self and others need to erase all the negativity and reframe what has happened in a more positive light. The stories others tell us should not be the source of our self-esteem but can serve as spurs to personal growth and wisdom insights. Other challenges to recovering ourselves are explored by welcoming our emotions, meeting the inner critic, letting go of perfection, becoming embodied, moving beyond shame, taking a stand on happiness, and following our child withins ethical compass. The sturdiness of this recovery practice of loving ourselves paves the way for additional examples of real recovery of relationships with our partners, children, parents and siblings, dear friends, colleagues and recovery teachers. "The best thing we can do for our relationship with others . . . is to render our relationship to our child within to be more conscious." Recovery and loving- kindfulness to others is an expression of our ten stage recovery path. No gesture is too small when our connection with strangers is at stake.The necessity of empathy, dealing with rather than writing off difficult people, seeing inclusion as the face of recovery, moving from anger to sanity, and transforming a "No" into a "Yes." Real Recovery offers mindfulness exercises and meditation techniques designed to evolve real recovery into childhood maturity animated by compassion, empathy, and inclusion.

There are many different ways to think about God: as a force, a feeling, and a cosmic person, for example. Each has its wisdom. In times filled with violence and the threat of war, one of the most promising ways is called panentheism. Panentheism (with the en between pan and theism) is different from pantheism. Pantheism is the view that everything added together is God, pure and simple. Panentheism, on the other hand, is the view that everything is part of God, but that God is also more than everything added together. There are seeds of panentheism in all the religious traditions, including Christianity, which is the religion I know best. In this short "process musing," I want to introduce it to readers. Panentheism is best understood by reference to its opposite: God as Holy Warrior. In Christianity one common but unfortunate way of thinking about God is the analogy of a male political ruler who presides over his subjects, issuing commands and threatening reward and judgment. The philosopher Alfred North Whitehead once observed that this involves rendering unto God that which belongs to Caesar. Sometimes this monarchical image of God is accompanied by images of war. The divine Caesar is envisioned as a holy warrior who fights evil with evil, enjoying the vengeance he reaps upon others. Those who fight in the name of this divine Caesar then imagine themselves as on His side, sharing in the vengeance. They feel happy — as if they have accomplished something for the world and for God — when others suffer. Another way to think of God is intimated in the selection from Acts offered above. In this way of thinking, God is imagined on the analogy of an encompassing and inclusive receptacle, filled with compassion, within which all living beings live and move and have their being. This way of thinking about God is called pan-en-theism, because it emphasizes that all things are "in" God, even as God is more than all things added together. It envisions God, not on the analogy of Caesar, but on the analogy of Christ's own spacious heart. In this more panentheistic perspective, God is equally present to all things, just like the ocean is equally present to all fish in the sea. This means that there is nowhere where God is not "always already present." God is "always already present" in Iraq and the United States, in North Korea and in South Korea, in India and in Pakistan, and in many other parts of the world. God is everywhere at once, and never reducible to a being among beings in the sky. Christians who advocate panentheism suggest further that God is present in human life in two ways: as an indwelling lure towards nonviolent love relative to the situation at hand and as a great compassion who "feels the feelings" of all living beings as those feelings occur, sharing in their joys and sufferings. Christians typically call the first way "the indwelling call of God's spirit" and the second way as "the empathy or compassion of God." In times threatened by war, the panentheistic perspective can be especially helpful. It suggests that even God suffers from the violence of war, sharing in the suffering of people on both sides. And it suggests that God is within all people, all over the world, as a Christ-like form of love. Moreover, panentheism suggests that God needs the world for God's will to be accomplished. Just as fish in the ocean have some degree of freedom from the presence of the ocean, such that they can move in this way or that way, so panentheism suggests that human beings have some degree of freedom from God, such that they can act in this way or that. The calling of God within the human heart requires cooperation, on the part of human beings, for its very fulfillment. Without that cooperation there will be tragedy, even in God. This is how some Christians understand the cross of Christ. It reveals what has always been the case: that wherever there is suffering and sadness, that suffering and sadness is shared by God. When humans cooperate with the indwelling lure of God, what does it look like? The greatest peacemaker of the last century — Mahatma Gandhi — called it "peace." Jesus called it the kingdom of God. Whatever words we use, one thing is clear. Today there is a deep desire for this kind of peace to emerge on our planet. All over the planet people want to live lightly on the earth and gently with each other, even as their leaders may sometimes wish otherwise. From the perspective of panentheism, their desire for peace and love is not simply human. It is also divine. It is the very life of God, within each human heart, praying that the will of God might be done on earth as it is in heaven. It is up to us — all of us — that this prayer be realized.</div>

Suffering is one of the undeniable facts of life that motivate our practice. 
 
It was coming face-to-face with aging, illness and death, that inspired the Buddha to leave his palace and his family behind, and set out on the path of awakening. 
 
In a sense, the story of Siddhartha Gautama is a metaphor for all of us. We begin the spiritual search because we are not content with material life. Worldly pleasures do not make us happy, only more and more hungry and disillusioned. 
 
Through study and meditation we seek to find an answer, a solution to our own suffering, as well as a way to relieve the suffering we see in the world around us. 
 
The practice of Tonglen meditation offers us both at once. 
History of Tonglen 
 
Tonglen is a Tibetan word which means “giving and taking.” As a spiritual practice, it refers to the sending and receiving of energy; taking in the negative (pain, suffering, fear, etc.) and giving back the positive (peace, joy, comfort, well-being). 
 
The practice can be traced back to 11th century Tibet, and the Kadampa school of Buddhism founded by Dromton Rinpoche. Dromton credits his teacher, Atisha, with training him in Tonglen practice, and tradition holds that Atisha learned it from his teacher Serlingpa, in Sumatra. 
 
Buddhism is often said to have “two wings,” which work together to lift the aspirant to enlightenment: wisdom (insight into the true nature of reality) and compassion (selflessness, caring, loving-kindness). Tonglen belongs to the latter – it’s intended to cultivate compassion and open the practitioner’s heart. 
 
But just as it takes two wings to fly, so wisdom and compassion are both necessary on the spiritual path. Compassion is to be informed by wisdom, insight, and right understanding. 
 
Tonglen was developed and taught as part of a larger discipline called lojong, or “mind training.” 
 
It is assumed that the practitioner has already acquired a thorough understanding of Buddhist philosophy (desire, karma, impermanence, the illusory nature of the ego, etc.), and is skilled at the basic techniques of meditation (posture, breathing, concentration and mindfulness). 
 
With these foundations firmly in place, Tonglen is offered as a practice to aid in further spiritual development. 
Benefits of Tonglen 
 The regular practice of Tonglen brings many health benefits associated meditation and deep relaxation, including: 
relieves stress and anxiety 
lowers cortisol levels 
lowers blood pressure 
reduces swelling and inflammation 
relieves chronic pain 
strengthens the immune system 
 
Tonglen meditation has not been studied, specifically and exclusively, as thoroughly as other forms of meditation. Yet it has much in common with other traditions – especially metta, or loving-kindness meditation. 
 
They’re both essentially forms of compassion training, and indeed, metta meditation might traditionally have been a preliminary training for the practice of Tonglen. 
 
Compassion training – like loving-kindness meditation – has been studied and linked to many social and psychological benefits. Tonglen then, because it too increases compassion toward self and others, can be said to bring about the same benefits, including: 
improved emotional intelligence 
better mood regulation 
reduced symptoms of depression 
increases positive emotions and overall happiness and well-being 
improved confidence and self-esteem 
more sense of connection and belonging 
 
Besides cultivating compassion, the practice of Tonglen is said to bring many personal and spiritual benefits, which although not scientifically proven, have been attested to by countless practitioners down through the centuries: 
overcomes our fear of, and aversion to, pain and suffering 
relieves the pain and suffering of others 
generates good karma 
reverses our usual selfish thinking 
reduces attachment or “clinging” 
dissolves our “emotional armor” and opens our hearts 
 
Through the practice of Tonglen, we are essentially transmuting spiritual energy. We take in the dark, dense energy of suffering and ignorance, and we transmute it into the clean, pure energy of compassion, peace, happiness and freedom. 
 
Not just for our own benefit, but for the benefit of all beings. 
How To Practice Tonglen In 7 Steps 
 
Tonglen can be practiced either as a formal sitting meditation, or practiced anywhere, anytime, as you go about your daily life. For our purposes, we’ll first discuss the formal method, as that is the ideal way to learn the practice, then we’ll talk about how to take your practice “off the mat” and into the world. 
1. Get Centered 
 
To begin with, go to your favourite meditation spot, sit down, and get comfortable. Take a few minutes to just relax and breathe, to settle in, to quiet your mind, and become centred and present here and now. 
 
When you are ready, proceed to Step 2. 
 
2. Call To Mind Someone Who Is Suffering 
Think of someone you know who is hurting, or struggling in some way. 
 
Call up a clear picture of them in your mind, see them as vividly as possible. Whatever it is they are going through – depression, illness, financial troubles, divorce or bad break up, etc. – imagine how hard it is, and what they might be feeling. 
 
Really put yourself in their shoes, and try to understand the extent of their suffering; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. The point is to feel that pain like it is your own (because it is), and to let it crack open your heart with compassion. 
 
3. Breathe In Their Pain 
 
Now imagine that you can relieve them of their pain, by taking it upon yourself. 
 
Buddhist tradition instructs us to envision the other person’s suffering as a dark cloud of ash or smoke, and to breathe it in. Take a deep breath, and breathe in all that pain, fear, exhaustion, sadness, loneliness and suffering; all of the negative energy. Welcome it and accept it as your own. 
 
As you breathe in, you may say silently, “May you be free from suffering.” 
 
4. Transmute Darkness Into Light 
 
Pause for just a moment, between the in-breath and the out-breath. 
 
And as you do, take that energy into your heart, your innermost self, where the Sun of awareness is shining. There, all that pain and suffering is transmuted, cleansed and purified — it becomes fuel for the fire of awakening. See that cloud of misery consumed by the pure light of awareness. 
 
But that’s not all that is consumed. As you take on the suffering of others, and transmute it, your own fear and ignorance, your pettiness, selfishness, your clinging ego, is burned up along with it. 
 
The poison becomes the medicine. The problem becomes the solution. What you instinctively fear and avoid becomes the vehicle of your liberation, your greatest joy. 
 
5. Send Them Peace 
 
Now as you breathe out, send that person good vibrations – a pure white light, the energy of life, peace, happiness, well-being, relaxation, safety and freedom. 
 
Visualize that light and energy going into their mind and body, healing and rejuvenating them. See it going into their heart, the very core of their being, bringing them relief and peace, giving them new courage and strength. 
 
As you exhale, you may say, “May you have happiness.” 
 
6. Repeat 
 
Repeat steps 3 – 5 for a few minutes, or as long as you wish. 
 
Each time you breathe in, you take in the other’s dark energy, their pain and suffering. You take it into your heart, where it is transmuted, transformed into pure light, compassionate awareness. Then you breathe out, and send them that pure, life-giving energy. 
 
With each cycle, see them becoming more calm and at peace, more healthy and happy and strong. Until finally, in your mind’s eye, they are totally free from suffering, radiant with light and life and energy, awake to their true Buddha nature. 
 
7. Move On To Someone Else 
 
At this point, you may call someone else into your mind, and then continue the practice. 
 
Traditionally, practitioners are instructed to bring in others who are suffering in a similar way. For example, if you are practicing Tonglen for someone who is ill, then you would bring to your mind others who are ill, or injured, or in need of physical healing. 
 
It’s worth noting that Tonglen can be practiced for entire groups of people – like a community in grief, a nation ravaged by war, or all people who are hungry or homeless. 
Notes On The Practice 
 
While the above 7 steps cover the basic practice in detail, there are some finer points about the tradition and application of Tonglen that should be clarified. 
 
Where To Begin? 
 
According to Buddhist tradition, Tonglen practice should begin with your mother – the idea being that she embodies caring, kindness and unconditional love, and thinking of her should help you to open your heart. 
 
Nowadays, we must allow some flexibility on this point. Not everyone has a good relationship with their mother, and it might be that calling her to mind might bring up deep childhood issues, and stir up all kinds of hurt, anger and resentment. 
 
That’s not the best way to begin this practice. 
 
So start with someone who does embody caring, kindness and unconditional love for you. It could be your father, your best friend, your child or your lover – it doesn’t matter, as long as it is someone to whom it is easy to open your heart.

Guided meditations will help you set your intention for what you want to work on, from dealing with trauma to fulfilling dreams, getting rid of bad habits, etc.This I and a number of friends did crossing the often wild North Yorks Moors in all sorts of weather for the next eighteen months a motley crew of ex hells angels, hare krishna priest and a social psychologist in an open jeep. Guided meditations can often be found free through many different apps. Another option is brain wave music, which moves the hemispheres of the brain into alpha, delta and theta states, which help to de-program old thought patterns.We chose Tibetan Buddhist Monks in a victorian library in an old victorian resort We became Consistent in our search for meditation willing to listen. The more frequent you practice, the better. Find the time of day that resonates with you most and stick to it. Want to complement your practice even more? Restorative meditation is incredibly beneficial for relaxation and pain control. Accessing our subconscious can help change your harmful thought patterns and take you out of feeling like you’re living life on autopilot. With a regular practice, you’ll enjoy a new sense of well-being, passion and purpose.This was a long time in coming to fruition. In our day-to-day lives, we're constantly in an alert, conscious state of mind. In the beta state, our brains are very active as we navigate through the day, sometimes feeling like we are on autopilot as we form our experiences. In this active beta state, our brain is over-stimulated, which in yoga is often referred to as "the monkey mind." Here, everything comes to us as doubts, fears, to-dos, emotions, and it can really cloud our minds and trains of thought. Studies have shown that in our conscious state, we're only using between 1 and 5 percent of our brain’s resources. So if we're only functioning at 1 to 5 percent, how are we really living our lives with true purpose? Where's the other 95 to 99 percent? The answer is found in our powerful subconscious, where the alpha, delta and theta states provide us with calm, deep relaxation and dreamlike states. The subconscious is where the magic happens, and where the imagination is stored. This state is where we can de-program our thought processes of doubt and fear, and where we tap into our authentic self without the judgment and criticism of our conscious state interfering.  The subconscious mind "ultimately casts the deciding vote" on how much abundance, happiness and success you will experience.  The subconscious is "one million times more powerful" than our conscious mind. My experience with my own subconscious state was in a guided meditation with a female buddhist monk. She had us sit on the ground  as she guided us through. I remember how calm and peaceful I felt; it was a definite breakthrough from my normal, conscious experience that stayed with me all these years. I felt like I was on an amazing adventure through time and space. Over the coming years, I’m grateful to have developed the skill of "tapping in" through mindfulness. I’ve found mindfulness to be even deeper and more powerful than hypnosis. My research led me to discover that masters, scientists, mystic and motivational speakers all refer to the subconscious as "where it’s at" to transform old thought patterns and bad habits. All of these great thinkers, from ancient times to modern times, know just how powerful tapping into our subconscious can be to access the greatness within.

Living with dissociation We have no idea that we grew up emotionally neglected. We give, our care for others, and we try to feel that we belong. Or, sometimes, we simply try to feel anything. But alas, too often, we come up empty. Some are our neighbours, our friends, our brothers and sisters, our husbands or wives. Who are quietly suffering with an invisible ghost from their past, with no way to understand or name it. There is a reason that Childhood Emotional Abuse is so hard to recognise. It dwells in the background – in things not said, and in actions not taken. Emotional Abuse is not just something, it’s the absence of something which, truth be told, has far more power. Living with unknown emotional abuse is like living under a box. It’s a dark cloud hanging over us, weighing us down and holding us back. It saps the joy and energy from our life, and leaves us feeling lost and alone, no matter how many people surround us. Secretly, deep down, we are left to wonder who we are, and if we actually even matter. When someone we care about grew up without enough emotional validation and emotional attention , we may feel in some ways very close to him (or her) but yet in other ways, very far away. Even though we like or love someone, we sense that something is missing in our relationship. Somehow, in some way, something is not quite right. How can our self be both connected and disconnected; loving but yet distant? It’s because our adult self has pushed emotions away in order to cope in the original childhood home. Now, fully grown, we are living our life without proper access to our own feelings and emotions. Now as an adult, we do not truly know what another feels, needs or wants. We don’t even realise that it matters. If we know someone who may fit this description, perhaps we’ve been feeling somewhat confused. After all, if our person doesn’t know what’s wrong with them, how can we?

The dissociated is always there for you when you need her, but she seldom asks you for anything. Self-contained and independent, she can handle it all herself, and prefers to do so.Conversations are weighted in your direction. You want to hear more about your person’s life, but your questions for her are typically met with attempts to steer the focus back on you.She is excessively flexible. She expresses few preferences, and often does not seem to know what she wants or likes.She seems to have something like a protective shield around her. Sometimes you want to try harder to connect with her emotionally, but it just feels banned somehow; as if to do so might make her uncomfortable, or drive her further away.She avoids conversations that involve feelings, and becomes uneasy with any demonstrations of emotion. Tears, anger, hurt, and maybe even joy can seem to make your person acutely uncomfortable.</blockquote>
 If you see elements of these signs in your friend, family member or spouse, you are in a difficult position. Your heart tells you to reach your hand across the chasm, but somehow it feels like your person may not reach back. Perhaps it may even feel somehow wrong to reach out. In truth, it probably feels this way because your person has built an invisible wall of dissociation to protect herself, and that wall stands between the two of you.  Reach Through Your dissociates Wall When you notice your person deflecting the focus back to you, point it out in a non-judgmental, observational tone. “Hey, I asked you a question and suddenly we’re talking about me again. Have you ever noticed you do that a lot?” Use the same technique when your person expresses no preference. “You’re extremely flexible. Why is that?” Explain the guiding principals of dissociations anonymous. Your person may resist this explanation if he’s not ready. On the other hand he may be incredibly relieved. Either way, you’ve given your person two things he grew up deprived of: You’ve identified a dissociated trait, and you’ve validated it.

It enrages parents. It puts a target on your back. And it hurts. It hurts like hell. It hurts to reconnect to open the locked door breaking down the nursery wall and feel the old traumas, the old longings, the old memories. It hurts to grieve, to feel the rage, to confront the perpetrators, to break the denial. It hurts to shed the mask of comfort and walk into the despair. The idea is to find the child within, whether this be assisted by religious beliefs, mentors, guides, intuition, or by inner reflection. The aim is for us to become more loving, compassionate, tolerant, patient, forgiving, understanding and content, by following a new way of conscious thinking; the means by which one achieves this is not important.It is always a reverse journey a journey backwards towards our source. Child Within growth is obtained by aligning with inner thoughts and feelings. This is the first method we tried the child the dot and the mirror. Gazing into a mirror, what is it that you see? You see a reflection of the person others see when they look at you. If the mirror should shatter you would then see not just one, but many reflections of yourself in the fragments. This is the first method we tried the child the dot and the mirror.We need to go back before the knowledge of self to before the original building block before the dot. 
 The child’s knowledge about the self continues to develop as the child grows. By age 2, the infant becomes aware of his or her gender as a boy or a girl. At age 4, self-descriptions are likely to be based on physical features, such as one’s hair colour, and by about age 6, the child is able to understand basic emotions and the concepts of traits, being able to make statements such as “I am a nice person” 
 
So the original contemplation was to make the dot in the middle of the forehead disappear.So we return to a stage before consciousness. Before the main effects of the world before first contact do not worry we are not going to stay long its just a first point an alpha point.It has no secret meaning.We do this in our mind we accept the dot disappearing the release of our consciousness.We do not have to deal with first contact....we think as a newcomer.

Synchronicity is a word coined by the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung to describe the temporally coincident occurrences of acausal events. It was a principle that he felt compassed his concept of the collective unconscious, in that it was descriptive of a governing dynamic that underlay the whole of human experience and history, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual. Jung believed that many experiences perceived as coincidence were due not merely to chance, but instead potentially reflected the manifestation of coincident events or circumstances consequent to this governing dynamic. Jung spoke of synchronicity as being an "acausal connecting principle" (ie. a pattern of connection that is not explained by causality). Jung believed the traditional notions of causality were incapable of explaining some of the more improbable forms of coincidence. Where it is plain, felt Jung, that no causal connection can be demonstrated between two events, but where a meaningful relationship nevertheless exists between them, a wholly different type of principle is likely to be operating. Jung called this principle "synchronicity." In The Structure and Dynamics of the Psyche, Jung describes how, during his research into the phenomenon of the collective unconscious, he began to observe coincidences that were connected in such a meaningful way that their occurrence seemed to defy the calculations of probability. He provided numerous examples from his own psychiatric case-studies, many now legendary. "A young woman I was treating had, at a critical moment, a dream in which she was given a golden scarab. While she was telling me her dream, I sat with my back to the closed window. Suddenly I heard a noise behind me, like a gentle tapping. I turned round and saw a flying insect knocking against the window-pane from outside. I opened the window and caught the creature in the air as it flew in. It was the nearest analogy to the golden scarab that one finds in our latitudes, a scarabaeid beetle, the common rose-chafer (Cetoaia urata) which contrary to its usual habits had evidently felt an urge to get into a dark room at this particular moment. I must admit that nothing like it ever happened to me before or since, and that the dream of the patient has remained unique in my experience." The Scarab represented Self-Generation, Resurrection and Renewal. Who then, might we say, was responsible for the synchronous arrival of the beetle, Jung or the patient? While on the surface reasonable, such a question presupposes a chain of causality Jung claimed was absent from such experience. As psychoanalyst Nandor Fodor has observed, the scarab, by Jung's view, had no determinable cause, but instead complemented the "impossibility" of the analysis. The disturbance also (as synchronicities often do) prefigured a profound transformation. For, as Fodor observes, Jung's patient had--until the appearance of the beetle--shown excessive rationality, remaining psychologically inaccessible. Once presented with the scarab, however, she improved. Because Jung believed the phenomenon of synchronicity was primarily connected with psychic conditions, he felt that such couplings of inner (subjective) and outer (objective) reality evolved through the influence of the archetypes, patterns inherent in the human psyche and shared by all of mankind. These patterns, or "primordial images," as Jung sometimes refers to them, comprise man's collective unconscious, representing the dynamic source of all human confrontation with death, conflict, love, sex, rebirth and mystical experience. When an archetype is activated by an emotionally charged event (such as a tragedy), says Jung, other related events tend to draw near. In this way the archetypes become a doorway that provide us access to the experience of meaningful (and often insightful) coincidence. Implicit in Jung's concept of synchronicity is the belief in the ultimate "oneness" of the universe. As Jung expressed it, such phenomenon betrays a "peculiar interdependence of objective elements among themselves as well as with the subjective (psychic) states of the observer or observers." Jung claimed to have found evidence of this interdependence, not only in his psychiatric studies, but in his research of esoteric practices as well. Of the I Ching, a Chinese method of divination which Jung regarded as the clearest expression of the synchronicity principle, he wrote: "The Chinese mind, as I see it at work in the I Ching, seems to be exclusively preoccupied with the chance aspect of events. What we call coincidence seems to be the chief concern of this peculiar mind, and what we worship as causality passes almost unnoticed...While the Western mind carefully sifts, weighs, selects, classifies, isolates, the Chinese picture of the moment encompasses everything down to the minutes nonsensical detail, because all of the ingredients make up the observed moment." Jung discovered the synchronicity within the I Ching also extended to astrology. In a letter to Freud dated June 12, 1911, he wrote: "My evenings are taken up largely with astrology. I make horoscopic calculations in order to find a clue to the core of psychological truth. Some remarkable things have turned up which will certainly appear incredible to you...I dare say that we shall one day discover in astrology a good deal of knowledge that has been intuitively projected into the heavens." In formulating his synchronicity principle, Jung was influenced to a profound degree by the "new" physics of the twentieth century, which had begun to explore the possible role of consciousness in the physical world. In 1945 Jung wrote Physics has demonstrated that in the realm of atomic magnitudes objective reality presupposes an observer, and that only on this condition is a satisfactory scheme of explanation possible. This means, that a subjective element attaches to the physicist's world picture, and secondly that a connection necessarily exists between the psyche to be explained and the objective space-time continuum. These discoveries not only help loosen physics from the iron grip of its materialistic world, but confirmed what I recognized intuitively that matter and consciousness, far from operating independently of each other are, in fact, interconnected in an essential way, functioning as complementary aspects of a unified reality. The belief suggested by quantum theory and by reports of synchronous events that matter and consciousness interact, is far from new. Synchronicity reveals the meaningful connections between the subjective and objective world. Synchronistic events provide an immediate religious experience as a direct encounter with the compensatory patterning of events in nature as a whole, both inwardly and outwardly.

As we sat in the Stages Academy. I read from a pre-prepared script on an i-phone with a certain degree of arrogance. The more I read the less i liked the script it was full of that terrible word "I " It was a parental voice demanding attention my voice grew weaker and the i started to dry up. The quiet voice of an experienced meditator said gently shall we meditate using the old script. It was as if I had never heard it before, shortly after the compassionate words of the second mediator gently nudged me off my pedestal of pride into the great beauty of the ten stage meditation that spoke directly to me. In relation to the nature of my mind, which is luminosity or GATZSO?

In this respect it might be interesting to reflect on a passage which one finds in certain texts which says that :‘between the arisal of different instances of conceptual thought, the clear light nature of mind arises uninterruptedly’.</blockquote>
 Say you look at an object which doesn’t have bright colours but is rather subdued in colour and not very attractive. And you look at it for a while. Then, while looking at this object, you make the determination: ‘I shall retain my concentration in order to focus my attention upon my own perception, upon my own experience. And I shall not allow myself to be distracted by other objects, external or internal.’ With such mindfulness you will be able to recognise the very moment your mind is distracted. For example, you hear a beautiful tune and you are distracted by it, but you immediately realise you are distracted, reinforce your mindfulness, and withdraw from it. Similarly, if you recollect past events, you will immediately realise that you have become distracted. Or if you have preconceptions of the future, you will also be able to identify that your mind has become distracted. So, normally, it is these types of thoughts which come into being at any given moment and which obscure the essential nature of our minds. When this technique of mindfulness is utilised, therefore, of maintaining attention on the perception of the object in front of us, as and when a distraction arises, we are able to identify it and to withdraw from such distractions. Thus, eventually all these conceptual events, the cognitive processes that obscure the natural state of the mind, will be cleared away. And the result will be a very stable and lucid state of mind. The mind is an affirmative phenomenon, but on the ordinary level it is obscured by concepts, different states of thinking and preconceptions, and so on. In order to recognise the essential nature of the mind, therefore, we have to peel off these different layers and clear away these obscurations. Then we shall see the true face of our own minds. If you undertake such practices, such experiments, when you say ‘consciousness’, it will not be a mere word. You will be able to understand what it is. Consciousness is a phenomenon that is non-obstructive; it is non-physical and has the quality of luminosity. It is analogous to a crystal. If a crystal is placed on a coloured surface, the real clarity of that crystal will not be seen. If it is removed from anything coloured, however, then its real form will be seen. The luminosity of the mind, the nature of clarity of the mind, is something that I cannot simply explain in words to you. But if you undertake this kind of experiment on your own, you will begin to understand,’ Ah, that’s the luminosity of the mind!’ or what we call GATZSO</div>
